Testout VS CBTNuggets pavloh Member Posts: 12 August 2007 Hi, I am currently studying for my MCSE while working, i have access to both of these training materials, i was just after some feedback from people who have used these forms of training materials in the past there thoughts I find the testout to be better structured + exam questions

I used TestOut and the Sybex book by Rod Smith and was able to pass both on the first try I personally found the Testout portions invaluable for their labs Labbing is definitely necessary, and I supplemented the Testout labs with virtual machines The book was great as a cross-reference

I have heard such great things about TestOut and have really been wanting to use them for my MCSA studies, but the cost has been keeping me from purchasing $297-$495 title was a bit rich for my blood, but I can totally find $89 + $11-$17 shipping Noblyspoon, MAJOR kudos to you for finding this out sharing the info

Can't comment on CBT Nuggets but I passed my Sec+ with a good score by using Gibson's book and Testout modules I liked Testout but it did take me longer than two weeks to complete the entire course I felt like the content in Testout was very good quality

Ive used testout alot to study for my A+ certification test and have successfully passed the 701 thanks to it and other resources such as Exam cram and Messer The only thing i dont like is I dont feel the practice tests help alot with the actual tests

In my opinion, the TestOut is the more complete of the two CBT Nuggets is great, and I really liked using it, but I got a lot more out of the TestOut course If you're only going to use one, I'd say go for the TestOut, since it gives you the chance to do some hands-on stuff in the sims, as well as videos and testing material

A friend of mine had the Testout for the old version of the test and was letting me play with it once In a 100 question test they asked a question twice (about which SCSI ID has highest priority) and in one question it said highest was priority and the other said lowest was best
