- O-470R TBO times - Pilots of America
So, what exactly is the TBO on an O-470R engine? I have one book from the Cessna Pilot Association that states TBO is 1500 hours, while I've seen other references to 1800 hours What gets the TBO up to 1800?
- O-470-U TBO of 2000 hours? - Pilots of America
The TBO on the U is listed as 2000 hours but in reality does the U typically go any further between overhauls than its predecessors who have a 1500 hour TBO? Thx If the engine is healthy, probably will go way past 2000 hrs The oil analysis trend, filter inspections, and engine IRANs in the log will give good indication on the engine's health
- Flying an engine past TBO. . . - Pilots of America
If an engine is nearing or past TBO but is still running right (good compression, no oil consumption, etc ) is there anything a pilot can do to help delay the inevitable overhaul? For example, would using a lower power setting or perhaps leaning a bit less buy you extra time? I realize that
- O-300s - Love em? Hate em? Typical maintenance costs and overhaul cost

- O200 TBO - Pilots of America
Anyone heard of an STC that extends the recommended TBO of subject Continental from 1800 to 2000 hours?
- Time Past TBO Lycoming IO-360 - Pilots of America
I'm currently shopping for a DA40 and was wondering how many of you out there have gone past the TBO of 2000 hours If you have gone past the recommended TBO I'd be curious to know by how many hours or how many hours did you make it before you needed to do an overhaul By needed I mean the
- Continental 0-200D TBO - Years as important as hours?
Hello, I'm currently looking at buying a 2011 aircraft with a Continental 0-200D that has 499 hours I was already aware of the 2000 TBO, but just recently discovered that these motors also have a 12 year TBO Which means this aircraft's engine will technically be past its overhaul time next
- newbie advice for buying a Cessna 150 | Pilots of America
Greetings all, In order to reduce the cost and increase the time, I am going to purchase a Cessna 150 Here are my questions (not all 150 specific): If the TBO is 1800, is buying one with 800-1000 on the engine a stupid or smart move? Should I only consider one with a very recent
