A better question is, "Why are there no snails available now?" I know there are some, but no Trochus or Turbo snails If any of you know of a source let me know Or, perhaps you know of a snail just as good or better that are available

The snail will start raising its shell and snapping it back down, and if a hermit is on top of it they might start twisting their shell back and forth to try to throw the crab off The hermits killed two small Astraea snails when I first got them though My Ceriths are also much larger than the crabs and there’s been no problems there

My trochus snails are absolute beasts consuming anything and everything off of rocks and glass However these snails leave the sand bed untouched I dont have much detritus or algae on the sand bed But would love to know which snails work best for tackling that area?

I suppose a snail could eat something toxic, but since the other snails have not become ill, I am leaning towards “unexplained hobby death” although it sounds like the snail hasn’t moved not died and started to rot Thought that was the same thing So they can stop moving for so long that they rot to death, even if they're still alive?
