Conical bullets in a smoothbore?? What do the rules state for what bullets can be used in a smoothbore? I would be willing to wager that just about anything was shot out of them during the war

The when the System Augustin smoothbore tubelock Muster 1842 muskets and Muster 1844 Extra Corps carbines were manufactured by the Austrian Army they had a fixed rear sight on the tang of the breech screw Significant numbers of them were sold to the Federal Army and probably to the Confederate Army If you can find one that didn't have the sight removed and wasn't rifled when it was

Smoothbore bullets I've shot muskets and carbines for most of my life, loading those up are pretty easy, but want to work up a load for a smoothbore now I was wondering what people do for lubing up roundball, any info for for shooting a smoothbore musket will be greatly appreciated
