I have added these serial numbers to the SWCA Post War 357 Magnum Database and there are now over 200 Pre-Model 27's listed - identified as "Short Action" in the database "Action" field The lowest Pre-Model 27 serial number now in this database is S75514 shipped in late 1949 and the highest serial number is S81498 probably shipped in late 1950

Or, it's Lew Horton Why wouldn't they? Or, it's not who you know The barrel is the only thing they had to produce to make it a Model 617-6 Mountain Gun Right
