Also, so long as you run your own RustDesk relay signal server and lock it down to the server id pub key, it should be a very secure solution! Hope this helps! EDIT: KeePassXC even has a DB "Export to HTML" option so, theoretically, you could easily set up a static webpage!

RustDesk has a web interface from what I saw, as every port is forwarded can this then be accessed from outside my network too? Could this web interface be proxied? What exactly do I need the API key for? Does this authenticate my client with the server and is required or is it an "optional" thing to encrypt traffic?

Where RustDesk ventures far away from AnyDesk (which is a commercial proprietary product), is with the fact that each person will have his own "micro" remote desktop solution for himself and or his clients This is also where I think RustDesk is not focussed on the end goal

Community consensus on Rustdesk with all the controversy in such a short time? I have recently found out about Rustdesk looking for an Anydesk alternative, and it is amazing Or so I thought I have come to learn since its open release in 2021 not all has been a pretty sight
