- The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
The Stones use simpler riffs, Aerosmith more complex ones at times; Aerosmith is much 'heavier' than the Stones (but it isn't really considered Heavy Metal) You can't really say "Well, Aerosmith is blues rock, that's why", because The Stones' primary inspiration was the Blues and what they've done since they started was riff on the blues

We made the worst possible Aerosmith setlist There was 20 songs, with 18 main set and two encore Yesterday, we decided the twentieth and final song would be Train Kept A Rollin, starting the whole show over again Our show went through four delays, at least five(but certainly more)deaths, and 20 insanely weird scenarios! It was fun Reddit!

Aerosmith is strong but has a hot headed user and it's potential isn't fully achieved because of that It's like with The Hand being extremely strong but having a moron user On the other hand you have Fugo who's smart af but his stand is just very limited
- What’s up with the seats behind the stage?? : r Aerosmith - Reddit
Man, Glad I saw Aerosmith back in 2015 (Salinas, CA - Salinas sports complex: total crowd ~18K ish) I get that touring stinks right now; but my goodness, semi-obstructed view tix for $140 ish (i'm guessing "semi-obstructed" b c the price is about $200 ish less than the others) Also, arena sound (in general) is not a great as outdoor

Why wasn't it included on an Aerosmith album? One possible explanation was the band wanted a new original song to appear on Live! Bootleg (1978) Another possible explanation is that this song strongly reminds of the Rolling Stones Aerosmith was frequently criticized as being Stones knock-offs, so perhaps they were sensitive to this
- Outside Writers and Aerosmiths Legacy - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
In the 70's Aerosmith never was that big this side of the Atlantic I can see why older fans like their 70's records better - less polished, less commercial and songs all written by themselves But from my viewpoint Aerosmith and Heart would be long dead and gone if they wouldn't have turned to 'hired guns' in the songwriting department
- Why so much hate for 80s 90s Aerosmith? : r ClassicRock - Reddit
However, even with those bias, many of Aerosmith's big hits from the 80s and 90s really were hits, and are good music IMO In the 70s there are some good tunes and quality playing, but they honestly feel a little too much like they are trying to be the Rolling Stones and or Led Zeppelin, which, while both quality bands, are not favorites of mine subjectively
