The Questar sold for $795 when it was released in 1954 According to this, the inflation adjusted price in 2024 would be $9,327 36 The optics produced by Cumberland were superior to the optics in the first Questars But the problem is that nobody today would pay $9,327 36 for a 3 5" non-goto telescope when there are much less expensive options
