Unpopular opinion I guess, but I loved both Priory and the prequel Totally agree about all of your points regarding pacing, but it actually didn’t impact my experience negatively I love the world of the Roots of Chaos books so much, and for me, the payoff is in exploring the world and getting to know the characters
