In summary, I believe Pioneer picked the right areas to “cut corners” if you will, because if you’re handy, the wiring can be easily addressed, as well as thru-bolting of the hardware if necessary They put their effort in the areas of hull construction, fit and finish, and component quality, which is a trade-off I was willing to accept

Hey THT, I'm in the process of narrowing down my bay boat search It has come down to the Sea Hunt BX22 and Pioneer Baysport 220 (with the help of my wife) I had to have something with bow cushions and other creature comforts compared to strictly a fishing machine like I wanted (Pathfinder or Avenger) Anyone have any pros cons to either of the boats I'm debating on? I've got appointments

The Pioneer 220 is well established as having a great ride, and they just look awesome with the hardtop, to me If you're buying an older one (pre-2020), the deck layout may seem a little antiquated by today's standards
