Peoria gets a bad rap for crime, but the crime here feels super mild compared to any Central Valley city in California, and I live south of War Memorial (live north of War Memorialis garbage advice IMO) The reality is Peoria is a solid little city It has some issues stemming from past mismanagement, but it also has piles of upsides

West Peoria has inexpensive houses and lower property taxes than Peoria Schools aren't great, though Oh, and there's the fire department's siren, that is apparently essential to some people's religious belief systems You get used to it, though, and they don't sound it after 10 pm Reasonably safe
