I feel like it has been a long time since Sony announced true first party stuff for the PS5 also This gen been disappointing compared to their great software lineup of PS2 through PS4 (heck PS1 as well) Fortunately 3rd party stuff has been quite good

Now go and check the revenue that Sony first party games make outside PS: around $600-$700M year (including non-Steam PC stores and rival consoles) and consider most of it is profit Each year ports generate them enough profit to fund two big ass AAA (to fund all the years of the projects, not only one year)
