I was once a fan of pdfdrive, but I can't download any single ebook anymore, maybe it is hacked or it is restricted by a Government agency, I don't know But there is an alternative to pdfdrive which is so very reliable, just try libgen is just recently downloaded a book from this site, good read It worked successfully for me

So I think it works that just as the FBI can't come break down your door for downloading pirated music, PDFdrive is technically allowed I'd think that if anyone filed a claim, they'd simply remove the page from the site, and tell the claimant they have to take that up with the joint that's illegally hosting the download
