I may be wrong but it seems like you are mixing up two different installation methods If you pip install you shouldn’t need to copy any dll’s accross If you are building from scratch then don’t pip install (pip uninstall any existing OpenCV installation first ) and read ImportError: DLL load failed while importing cv2: The specified module could not be found to see if it helps
