If I'm not mistaken the stall speed is the point at which the torque converter fully engages ( 1:1 ratio) The higher the stall speed the higher the rpm the engine needs to turn to deliver all it's horsepower torque to the tranny Most off road machines are high torque low rpm, therefore the lower the stall speed the better for off roading I don't know if they make converters with a
