Loaded coal train 776 was heading west through Vermilion on the Lake Shore line about to head into CP 222 to diverge down the east-leg connector to the NKP and Bellevue when caught here at Adams Street It was jump out of the car and lunge trackside as the train was right there Not bad, PRR on loaded coal, rather nostalgic

Oh, yes, the reason I detoured off I-65 was to have a nostalgic meal in the Country Kitchen restaurant My family used to stop there for a meal or for the homemade pie when we made the trip to and from Rensselaer, Indiana, where I went to school at St Joseph's College back in the 60s The food is still good and the pies are still homemade

Another dual tracks was laid to the freight trains and two tracks for the Metro All building seen on the right side of the Arrudas river were demolished The river was sunk ten meter and covered to allow more lanes to the roads in both sides So, your photos are very nostalgic for all us that live in BH area I imagine you got more pics of

The nostalgic whines about missing the smell of coal smoke is most certainly not a complaint of mine I lived in southern Kansas and my town enjoyed the frequent sounds (and smoke) of the Santa Fe, Frisco, and Mo Pac steam engines

There is a lot of nostalgic motive power assigned to the NJT trains that run to Port Jervis, many runs use Metro North power NJT GP40s and the two F40s show up more than you might think on the Port Jervis Line
