Hello! sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Nitro I have a 2007 SXT and experienced some similar issues so I’ll try my best to remember but the good thing is there is a lot of knowledgable people on here! so you’d think it would be hard to forget but I replaced the sensor on the right side and it seemed to then be fine

Rola makes a great rack - just the right size for the Nitro, without the center extension It should bolt to the Production Cross Bars with no issues I had one on my Jeep Commander, but it did not look right - not wide enough IMHO It is high quality, and relatively inexpensive when compared to other racks of the same size

The thermostat technically is in the front of the 4 0L engine in other vehicles it is used in This being because the Nitro is the only vehicle in which the 4 0 engine is not in a sideways position The Nitro obviously being RWD needs the front to back configuration
