- Determining age of a Nikon lens - Nikon - Photo. net
Actually Nikon started introducing AI-S lenses in 1979; see the link I posted earlier For example Series E lenses are AI-S lenses My parents bought an EM with a 50mm f1 8 Series E in 1979 My family still has that set up and I have confirmed that the lens is AI-S But Nikon didn’t advertise the difference between AI and AI-S lenses until later
- 1000mm Nikkor F11 Reflex is it Sharp?? - Nikon - Photo. net

- Nikon z 14-30 f 4 vs Nikon 16-35 f4 G with FTZ2 - Photo. net
Regarding wide zooms, Nikon has none in Z mount like the older AF-S 17-35 2 8 or AF-S 16-35 4 Except for the Nikon Tamron 17-28, which has a rather restricted range, there are no zooms for those who want to go wider than 24mm, but don't need or want the super-wide 14mm zooms

Again, Nikon has been making F mount lenses since 1959 and there are so many different lenses that there are still plenty of exceptions For example, there are some fisheye and super wide lenses from the 1960's that they are not retrofocus; that is, they protrude very far into the mirror box so that unless the camera body has true mirror lock
- Any D850 issues I should be aware of? - Nikon - Photo. net
I shoot with a Df and a D850 The D850 is very picky about lenses It truly shines with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f 1 4G ED and the ZEISS Milvus 50mm f 1 4 Also with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f 2 8G ED VR II The rest of the Trinity (14-24, 24-70, 70-200) seems to not produce the depth of images you'd expect The 35 1 8 Nikkor is ok too
- Using a manual flash on the z8, overexposure composition problems
With Nikon cameras and flashes, the two EC's are additive Depending on the flash and camera used, the settings will be made on the camera and the flash For the Z8 you will set camera EC on the camera If the above cannot be done use a Nikon flash in TTL BL and set both camera and flash EC and experiment
