What a shitshow of a company Loan A, daughters loan has a due date of 10 15, a sunday She logs on and cannot choose today 9saturdaY or tomorrow, the due day (sunday) if she chooses monday the 16th it states that you are choosing a date past your due date And no custoemr service lines open on a weekend

Until Nelnet provides some type of explanation for this clearly not one-off issue, I would not assume it is rare I would assume many borrowers just aren't catching it, because they see a charge on their bank account and don't think to double check their student loan account Reply reply Medicationmonster •

Nelnet won't allow principal-only payments until all interest is settled Your overpayment will be applied towards the interest for the next month The old structure of school loans used to allow principal-only payments The only way around this is to figure which of your Nelnet loans groups have most of the interest paid up, so that you can start paying that principal
