It's much better to use a bubble level mounted to your scope since you know it's level, assuming you took the time to mount it properly (this would also include the spuhr mount That appears to be a good option but again it depends on perfect surface contact for the base to be perfectly level with the rail)

I like the Holland level that attaches to the scope tube Mounted in front of the turrets (and sometimes ahead of the front ring as well), the level appears superimposed in the upper right quadrant of the scope when acquiring a sight picture, not too far from the reticle center

I have Vortex bubble levels on all my scopes I align the reticle with a plumb line, clamp the Vortex level in place well forward on the scope, verify against the plumb, and then mount the scope on the rifles using the Vortex level to level, and finally verify everything against the plumb line
