Not sure what year they changed, but I know my 09 is 2 25 So updating one of these 2 5 stockers makes even less sense then on the earlier models Just get a new muffler welded on if you want more sound, or if you do want more high end at the expense of low end, move up to a 3"

Typically you would simply weld in a muffler at an exhaust shop with lower production models like the i4 2 7 The 2 7 hasnt changed since 2005 much so you can visit Youtube and search for tacomas with 2 7 i4's and you'll find many likely have magnaflow etc welded in at a shop
