I doubt they would change the thread pitch, all mpx barrels are left hand thread 13 5 I soaked my barrel in boiling water for about an hour then took it to local gunsmith and they cranked it off in less than 10 seconds

My assumption is the problem lies in the design of the MPX bolt, you need a full-auto style (milspec) style AR15 bolt for it to work with the part of the trigger that goes up where a full auto sear would go
