Screen navigation was logical and while of course in display mode, the screens were readable, showed the width depth of the view area at different settings, etc I would imagine the Lowrance guys are going to be busy at the ice shows as am guessing many will be interested in unit and have a lot of questions

Watching videos on mega 2 and eagle 9, I dont think garmin needs to release anything anytime soon The eagle 9 is a budget system for 1000 Has limitations for sure not comparable to the best from all companies the Lowrance active target 2 would be it’s been out a year

Get a Lowrance Lake Insight Chip, it uses the same mapping data Lakemaster had, plus recent updates My old Lake Master chip is better for some bodies of water than the Lake Insight chip, so I wouldn’t say it has the same mapping data

Anyone used the Lowrance Active Target? New boat coming has all Lowrance units with active target I am guessing it is a step behind the garmin, but I am going with it and selling my boat without pulling anything off Version 1 or 2? Version 2 is pretty close to Garmin’s LVS34, version 1 not so much… AT2 is really solid

I’m looking at map chips for Lowrance HDS and there are too many options For those of you that use Lowrance which map card is the most useful? Mainly fishing WI, MN, and the U P , most important features to my are accuracy of contours and the ability to offset for water depth I know a lot of this depends on the quality of mapping for the lakes I fish, but is one much better than the other
