In general, most of our street Pontiac engines regardless of size will run stronger with a 112° or larger LSA than with something like Comp's cookie cutter 110° LSA off-the-shelf cams Another benefit of a wide LSA is better idle characteristics and being less prone to detonation

LSA's of 110 to 114 are usually best for engines that will see street dutyas well as the occasional foray at the track A wider lsa improves idle quality by creating more intake manifold vacuum and allowing less reversion Intake Centerline: refers to the positon at which the cam is installed relative to the crankshaft

Wider LSA's also run smoother, pull more engine vacuum for power brakes, and have a broader power curve - and why Pontiac used these types So in my opinion, I think your best cam choice would be the 068 cam, which is the Mellings SPC-7 cam Butler also offers their series of the blue-printed RA Cams to include the 068, as well as custom grinds

There is a small cluster of cams in the 240° range with Kaufman having the 242 248 on a 112 LSA; Ken Crocie's custom 242-250 on a 112 LSA, and SD Performance Road Paver at 246 252 on a 114 LSA Wasn't Don Johnson talking about his RAV cylinder heads?

Die Dinge werden etwas verwirrender, was die Natur der Nockenwellen angeht, da die RAIII einen sehr breiten LSA von 115,5 hat, was dazu neigt, die etwas größere Nockenwelle zu mildern
- Tach and TPS wires at ECM? - Pontiac GTO Forum
I just installed my NOS system today and am using a FJO Racing progressive controler I need to fet a tach signal and tap into the TPS for its signal I'm a neat freak so I wanted to tap the wires at the ECM instead of running them all over the place Does anybody have a, or can get the
- Compression Test - Pontiac GTO Forum
The 110 LSA cams work great with low compression engines like 7 5-8-5 or so as this is where you want to build more cylinder pressures to enhance the low piston engine compression
- 05 GTO cam install selection question | Pontiac GTO Forum
The LSA isn't the only spec that you have to look at to tell how choppy lopey a cam is The longer the valves are held open (overlap), the more lopey the cam should be Up to the point where you hear each individual explosion going off (which should also be the point where you start losing a ton of power)
