- How unreliable really is an RX7? : r RX7 - Reddit
The NA rx7’s are much more reliable than the turbo ones Rx8 is about as reliable as a turbo, maybe even less When my fc was NA I had issues with the driveshaft, water pump and also the wiring to the battery This were things that took the car off the road or made it so I couldn’t start it But yeah, not a good idea at all

As someone who daily drove an 83 RX7 out of high school and through college I can confidently say, don't do it Parts break and are available for purchase, but it'll be about two weeks before it shows up I ended up buying a Walmart fall apart pedal bike with a 50cc two-stroke engine attached to it The bike was often more reliable than the car

And I'm not talking a show ready rx7 I'm talking about repaing a pretty meh one into a beast Edit: came off a little aggressive here didn't mean it this way so I'll clarify I'm tired of purest's trying to keep the ideal dream alive when we are talking about a less than ideal chassis that you won't even use for parts
- r RX7 on Reddit: Considering buying an FB RX-7 as a first-time rotary . . .
Hey, I got my first rotary (85 RX7) about 5 years ago from my dad Ran fine but fuel pump went out So did the spark plugs, fuel filter and the carb Then at one point after replacing those, one of the apex seals got stuck Sat for 4 5 years (hardships)
