- Best thing you ate in Kyoto? : r JapanTravelTips - Reddit
I’m in Kyoto for a couple more days and wanted to ask what was the best thing you had here? My friends and I love food and have been eating our way around town We aren’t really into gourmet dining or Kaiseki meals We’d love some recommendations and to hear what good stuff you’ve had! So far, my favorites in Kyoto have been Chao Chao Gyoza and Menya Inoichi
- 5 Days in KYOTO: What to do? What to skip? : r Kyoto - Reddit
5 days in Kyoto or 5 days in Kansai? For Kyoto itself, I think 5 days is a reasonable amount of time, but if you're using it as a base for Kansai I would recommend at least a couple more for at least day trips to Nara, Osaka, and Himeji (possibly with Kobe) For Kyoto itself, I answered almost this exact question a couple of years ago in this post I do not recommend treating this like a check
- Is Kyoto that crowded? : r JapanTravelTips - Reddit
For recent travellers is Kyoto really that crowded these days? I've seen videos of packed crowds at Fushimi Inari and Higashiyama and curious if that is reflective of what is really happening?
- Best location to stay in for first visit to Kyoto? - Reddit
I would suggest the Cross Hotel Kyoto (different location than the Sakura Cross Hotel suggested in another comment ) It was super close to Pontocho Alley and Kiyamachi-dori
