- Daiwa Lexa? Looking for advice.
Daiwa Lexa? Looking for advice I own all three of these including the Lexa and find they're all fit for purpose and are all well made Just depends on the price you can get them at, all give good value I got the Komodo at 50% off, the Curado used off a craiglister, and the Lexa recently new at 50% off I don't believe in brand loyalty outside of ensuring you get a quality product for a good
- What to look for in an ocean fishing rod?
I have Okuma Komodo and Daiwa Lexa 400 reels The Lexa is smoother, but the Komodo has a better line guide system that follows your line when casting releasing for less cross-spool winding
- baitcaster reel recommendations?
I haven’t used it a ton but the Okuma Komodo SS is also a decent reel, although doesn’t feel as refined in the hand All reels were designed for fishing fresh and salt; so internals parts etc are made with materials that will hold up better than a traditional fw bass reel

Be sure to check out the Okuma Komodo 350 size low profile Stainless steel gears and lots of drag, 25lbs I think Built for saltwater and heavy freshwater use with good line capacity The Daiwa lexa and curado 300 are good choices too
- Slow pitch rockfishing
I got the reel Here is a photo of it next to my 300 It is bigger I use the 300 for sturgeon I guess if the 463 is too big I can swap them Good luck! Imho, that's a big reel you ordered I use the komodo SS 300 series so it's lighter 46B4E6D2-B488-4875-89CE-F64E447F472E jpg (573 74 kB, 1024x768 - viewed 63 times )

Okuma cold water low profile The newer version is the coldwater SS Very similar to the Komodo reel Very hard to kill Spool with 30lb braid and the top shot of your choice to catch everything As long as you aren’t casting If you are casting get something else
