I just checked and most of my Kennametal toolholders are made in India, a couple are marked China That said, Kennametal does an excellent job delivering quality tools for both countries Both are capable of producing very high quality products, but the high-end brands that source there either

Question Do the Kennemetal Top Notch inserts fit other brands of tool holders, or no? Inserts are cheap and all over eBay, so are a more attractive option than ThinBit and other brands where the inserts are less common and not many deals seem to be available Thanks in advance

I figured since my tool post would hold 1 2" holders, they would be more rigid and give me more options I purchased a Kennametal and placed in the tool post, even at the lowest adjustment, it was slightly above center I ended up putting the tool holder in the mill and shaving a couple mm's off the bottom side and it worked out
