you are absolutely correct, Kabar does, in fact, have a limited number of that particular discontinued color combination BK2 on their clearance page for $80, with an MSRP of $159 This does not change my statement that they are more typically found for $110-$115 at retail outlets

I just wouldn't do that to a guy However, if you want to get the Kabar brand into your collection and you prefer a blade shorter than 5", go to ebay and search on "vintage Kabar" They made a lot of hunting knives that work excellent in the woods As far as the 7" Kabar fighting knives go, they are a great knife with a proven history

A KaBar MK11 or in my case a Navy MK1 are just fine for bushcrafting purposes The MK11 was designed as a fighting knife firstly and has proven itself, the majority of bushcrafters are not combat trained knife fighters, rock wall scalers or lumber jacks without the proper tools gear
