Having been to 6 different CBJ trainig classes now I can tell you KCBS didn't teach you to use your heart in judging And the "master judge" teaching incorrect mantra should have been pointed out to the KCBS Rep Comment cards are intended to be used to provide usefull information for scores given to cook teams

The guys next to us at the last comp told me that KCBS now allows the MM to be cooked separate from the rest of the butt I'm not finding this rule change anywhere Is it me or were they mistaken?

Yet when I think of KCBS, all that really comes to mind is competition, and it makes me think that their mission is missing two words at the end of it - "in competitions " In fact, much to credit of Phil and everyone else here, I think the BBQ Brethren does more to fulfill the KCBS mission than KCBS does Or am I clueless and missing something?

- Cooking all 4 KCBS meats on 1 smoker, any tips?
I'm going to try competitions and I will be using my Humphrey Pint to cook all four KCBS meats at competitions Any body have any tips or tricks on getting this done? I usually cook Chicken Ribs at 275 and Brisket Butt at 250 Looking for any thoughts or help from the Brethren!
