Yup, you drop the whole tank bracket strap assembly When I dropped mine, the rubber hoses were trash and basically disconnected themselves You will want to replace the fuel hoses, but make them longer so they make a full loop it will make it much easier to put the tank back up in there

Both trucks I disconnected the fuel lines from the hardline running on the frame rail, take the ground wire off and the guide for the hoses, take the 8 bolts out and set the tank down, disconnect the sender line and done

Put a floor jack under the tank Unbolt the brackets, then lower a little Reach in and disconnect the wires and hoses Then lower the tank all the way down Sending unit is easy to replace once you can get to it Basic hand tools, floorjack, and some patience is all you need

With dual tanks, AFAIK the tank solenoid has always been on the passenger side frame rail near that tank It’s easy to bypass the solenoid and only connect up one set of tank lines
