- Why cant I install Paint. NET 5. 1+ on Windows Server 2019
This has been the case since the release of Paint NET 5 1 in November 2024 Windows Server 2019 is based on Windows 10, version 1809 That version does not support the graphics APIs used by Paint NET 5 1+ You will need to update to Windows Server 2022
- Paint. NET 5. 1. 8 is now available
I had an update thru MS Store yesterday (see attached), but my Paint NET version is still showing as 5 1 7 I'm including my Diag as well I did just manually check for updates on MS Store, and it brought me up to current on any installed apps Paint NET wasn't in the batch today, but it was yesterday Cheers Much appreciated

What you say about 'an ancient version' of Paint NET is incorrect, 5 1 8 is the version that the installation package is trying to install (first pic below) I assume guess 4 312 etc is the version of the installation package exe

Everytime I try to install Paint net from the downloads at Github, the installation process tells me that I need a CD rom I'm on Windows 11 The install program keeps looking for the msi file I'm trying to install Paint Net 5 1 Thanks for any assistance

I'm unable to install Paint Net Neither the web installer nor the direct download from GitHub works The installation from the website gets interrupted, and the download from GitHub doesn't start in the browser I've noticed that the website installer downloads the files from GitHub, so I assume the problem lies there, but I don't know how

Please add Paint net to the available packages for Windows package manager "Winget" I think this would be a great integration for the software its like ninite with even less steps

The installer for 5 1 1 is first trying to remove the previous (5 1) installation But you, or antivirus software, or something else has deleted the PaintDotNet_x64_5 1 msi file that is needed to do the uninstall
