The i imgur link points directly to the image whereas the imgur com link goes to the imgur page that also shows the picture and the bandwidth and other pictures Any imgur link can be replaced with i imgur and you'll see the picture with no other info

Imgur has had really big issues for a while now beyond this so I think being proactive about a new image host is smart Even if the U K government changed their position (which is doubtful if this is indeed GDPR related) there is a very real chance imgur folds with all its staff cuts

They block VPNs so hard they keep users on other websites from viewing Imgur embeds Other websites can't even display things to VPNs because they're being insanely petty I don't even know what they gain from blocking them so aggressively, it's not like they're getting ad revenue from Nexus Mods having images hosted on Imgur?

So, I only recently found out about Imgur's decision to remove old and NSFW content from their site, and only took notice of this when a certain Imgur link didn't work no more I still have the exact URL, but it just shows that the image is deleted now
