- STAGGER - Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
Stagger does the same thing In practice, stagger can help you turn Generally speaking the smaller the track the higher the stagger Stagger will help you turn, but if you have too much, it can slow you down on the straights because of the kart being bound up with itself All chassis manufacturers publish their baseline stagger numbers for
- Tire stagger - Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
Rear stagger is typically matched to the track configuration---if a track is very small and tight corners stagger might approach 2" but if it is a large track with sweeping corners 1" might be in order I am sure others will give you more specifics
- Stagger calculater - Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
The idea of stagger is to have both tires rolling rather than having one sliding Both tires are going to be turning the same number of rpm's, so the LR tire has to be smaller to be rolling on the smaller arc
- Cross vs Stagger - Correlation | Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
I’d like to better understand the correlation between cross weight and stagger Let’s say I’m running Maxxis slicks with a right-side tire diameter of 34" and a left-side diameter of 33" — giving 1" of stagger These tires are designed for flat karts Assume I start with 63% cross weight
- Cross VS Stagger - Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
The purpose of stagger is to introduce an inherent yaw to the left If you kart was responsive enough steering that it didn't need help, no stagger would be neccesary Sprint karts turn in both directions "equally" well with zero stagger If your VCg was hign enough to unweight LR enough, that alone would create the yaw effect I would think on a grippy dirt track, you could get by with little
- Chassis Pre-Load | Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
Here is what I mean Front stagger is putting pre-load into the chassis as does rear stagger This puts twist into the chassis The more the twist, the more the rebound or how fast and to what degree the chassis returns to its original shape
- Stagger Problem. | Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
I’m running at Millbridge in NC and the class I’m in has all 4 of the same size tire I’ve had a rough time achieving the stagger I’m after What can I do on the scales to combat the lack of stagger to make my kart turn? 21 Phantom Scythe Hoosier treaded tire
- Stagger | Bobs 4 Cycle Karting
On a banked track the stagger is built into the track so I would say less stagger later Chuck While the banking does physically make the right side tire path shorter, ie, less stagger needed, it also inhibits weight transfer to the right rear tire, making the stagger less effective
