Registration on Copart: To register with Copart you need to make an account and email a picture of your drivers license to them There are certain tiers of membership and at this point you are the lowest of the low which means you get the most fees charged to you If you have a business license you get a substantial discount on those fees

Copart sells to car dealers, dismantlers, auto body shops etc Yes they technically do sell to private individuals but its not really meant for that You end up having to hire a broker to put a bid on a car and then like in your case the broker fees basically double the cost of the car I have used copart in the past as a hobbyist for getting project cars or parts source cars I ended up

Copart doesn't show sales prices (i wish) You have to actually join and watch the auction live to see what a lot goes for There is https: autoauctions io which can show Copart auction results after a couple days, plus it shows what similar cars went for at other auctions It is a pay site, but pretty cheap
