The sword Heide knights can be parried quite consistently on one of their attacks Two hand a mace with stone ring and stun lock them My preference is to skip them until I have a greathammer All Heide Knights are completely helpless against the two handed heavy attack from any greathammer

If you don't press the left stick while attacking, the club will hit your enemy They've changed the targeting system a bit in DS2, if you press the left-stick and then attack, the attack will happen in that direction even if you're locked on I'm rocking a Heidi Knight Sword +10 at end-game and I'm still loving it

Several options here You can cheese it with arrows The extreme corner at the top of the stairs is just out of range of the fire breath Takes around 70 arrows from a shortbow Or 8 poison arrows (20 available in the Gutter) You could have a +6 Longbow and the Hawk Ring and it won't take long Or charge the dragon
