Kings get PJ, Hardy Mavs get Monk I like the idea of a LaVine, Ellis, Murray, PJ, Sabonis lineup for the Kings with Demar as 6th man I think PJ provides a good defensive presence next to Sabonis Mavs could really use Monk for offense in starting unit, he's a decent playmaker too And when Kyrie comes back he could fit still on the team

It seems to me that PJ Washington is the odd man out in Dallas; plays the forward spot same as Davis Flagg Mavs will probably look to play Lively Gafford a lot so Davis can be full time PF, Flagg at the 3 Washington is a solid player and can get value, and the Mavs most obvious need is a point guard

I don’t think PJ should be valued over the LAL first, unless he signs an extension Dallas didn’t have to give up a fully unprotected first for PJ with 2 5 cheap years left and they got to dump Grant Williams, and they got a couple meh 2nds back I just don’t see him signing that extension Would love it for Dallas if he did though

If you trade PJ, you trade AD and Kyrie also Do a complete rebuild and go from there That's obviously the most logical choice But if you want to compete, you don't trade PJ because it's hardly anyone that can replace him at his value Keeping PJ is easy if you get rid of Gafford and don't take back any long term salaries

We can't afford to take both back otherwise it defeats the financial purpose of trading Jrue to begin with So if we're keeping PJ, then that means Klay needs to be outright dumped on his two year deal which probably costs another first Unfortunately, I just have a hard time seeing PJ happening here BUT, really love the player and fit
