Good suspension forks are expensive and require a relatively high amount of maintenance to keep in good condition And inexpensive suspension forks don't work well, are very heavy, and tend to break down If you want some bump compliance and are not actually commuting on MTB terrain, I'd go for a steel carbon fork and larger volume tires
