Here is your FXAIX (blue), your FSPGX (red), and, logically, FLCOX (the Fidelity Large-Cap Value Fund), in yellow Source Now, certainly there are some people who have come to the conclusion that large growth stocks are Just Plain Better than the rest Unfortunately, there are also people who believe that large value stocks are Just Plain Better

What are your thoughts on Large Growth index funds? I have been considering FSPGX from fidelity It has been generating nice returns, better than the s p 500 I know that won’t last forever Seems to me it could be a good investment or am I better off sticking with s p index? Does anyone own FSPGX? What are your thoughts on it?

My 401K plan has Fidelity® Large Cap Growth Index Fund (FSPGX, it is a relatively new fund, similar to VIGAX (VG growth index fund) Its prospectus mentioned the fund will use security lending income to enhance the fund performance Is this a common practice for most mutual funds? Any reasons to worry about this practice? Thanks

FSPGX holds 532 companies, FSKAX holds over 3,400 I'd stick with the total market fund so I never had to wonder, "Is it time to dump my large cap growth fund?" Regards, Yes, the reasonable part of me agrees The "I want to retire tomorrow" part of me is a more aggressive which may very well be the death of my nest egg Thanks for your response!

Welcome to the forum See red passage above You state in your post that past performance is not indicative of future results, then proceed to claim that you'll be assured you'll get a solid rate of return No such guarantee exists What you can be reasonably confident of is that the Vanguard fund will track the index it is designed to follow You'll get exposure to the large cap growth
