Freezing reports doesn't prevent identity theft per se, but will prevent thieves from opening new accounts in your name Why does it seem like a lot of work to freeze your accounts? You create accounts with each bureau by verifying your identity SSN

The screen's virtually blank I contacted them via their site and was told to call in I almost think that they're doing it intentionally to make people call in so that they can try to convince them to stay, or hope that they'll forget and get charged
