I’ve been on Eliquis since 2019 for second incidence of bi-lateral lung clots I’ve asked pcp to reduce to 2 5 mg twice per day from 5 0 mg twice per day Just wondering if anyone has reduced their dosage and pros cons of doing so

I gladly accept taking Eliquis the rest of my life if I can see the reason But if I accepted the concept of better safe than sorry than PCP and cardiologist should and probably would start writing out scripts for DOAC to everyone over 70 - 75 but definitely feel that's not good or necessary Thank you for your input

Just diagnosed Doctor prescribed Eliquis and Metoprolol I was wondering what side effects common I read there is a rare side effect of hair thinning for metoprolol (take 25 mg 2x day) Also read that Eliquis can sometimes cause some stomach discomfort (5 mg 2x day) Can either medications be taken in lesser amounts?

You don’t mention the medication (Eliquis, Xeralto) or how many milligrams I’m on 20 mg of Xeralto have slight headache I’m new to the medicine will go to lower dose in about 50 days I also developed an oral blood blister (ABH), which apparently is a possible side effect of blood thinners
