Dynamat is sound deadener It's basically what they stuff into the doors of nice trucks that advertise "quiet cab " I've been in a few cars with it and it's much nicer than mine However, it depends on how loud your truck is to begin with If you have 33"s and a roof rack, it will make a difference because those are noisy If you don't, you'll barely notice a change If you do it correctly

Hello, I just purchased the dynamat bulk pack which has tons of dynamat in it I have heard mixed things about using multiple layers The guy at the audio shop said that it is a waste to put more than 1 layer Is this true? I have enough for 2 or 3 layers in the trunk I am using it for

Has anyone company actually taken the time to lay down a cheaper brands sound deadening, test the outside decibel levels and stereo frequency response, then rip out the cheaper stuff and replace it with dynamat (expensive stuff) and compared the hard data?

Dynamat is just living off its name from the lat 90's early 2000's Stinger Roadkill is a Less expensive and probably a better product Soundshield is a "better" version of Soundskins I didn't bother getting the whole story with soundskins, but its something along the lines of 2 partners splitting up (possibly one screwing over the other)
