I've been trying for hours to get DuckDuckGo working as the default search engine in Microsoft Edge (Chromium) Edge shows that it is set as default, but when opening Edge, DuckDuckGo search page is NOT displayed Took a long time to figure out how to set it, but now it doesn't work!

if "Search engine used in the address bar " is not already set to DuckDuckGo, select it from the dropdown in "Search on new tabs uses search box or address bar" select address bar from the drop down, this will mean it will use your preferred search engine even if you type in the search box on the new tab page
