- Has anyone tried freezing cell pellets in TRIzol? - ResearchGate
We routinely freeze cell pellets in Trizol at -70 for extended periods of time with no noticeable differences in RNA yield compared with fresh samples From the Trizol protocol:
- Help! Freezing with Trizol? : r labrats - Reddit
Trizol does actually freeze and will need to be resuspended vortexed after thawing if you freeze at option 1 Freezing after homogenization in Trizol will help increase your yield IMO, this is the best step for freezing I often freeze at #1 because of collecting multiple timepoints and then doing isolation all at once
- A Rapid and Efficient Platelet Purification Protocol for Platelet Gene . . .
Dissolve the platelet pellets using 1 mL TRIzol per 100 mg platelets (use a minimum of 1 mL TRIzol for platelet samples weighing less than 100 mg) and leave for 5 min at room temperature (see Note 5)

We routinely freeze cell pellets in Trizol at -70 for extended periods of time with no noticeable differences in RNA yield compared with fresh samples From the Trizol protocol: "Homogenized samples can be stored at room temperature for several hours, or at –60 to –70°C for at least one month "
- TRIzol Reagent User Guide (Pub. No. MAN0001271 D)
Perform RNA isolation immediately after sample collection or quick-freeze samples immediately after collection and store at –80°C or in liquid nitrogen until RNA isolation
- TRI Reagent® Protocol - MilliporeSigma
TRI Reagent ® solution (also sold as TRIzol) is a mixture of a mixture of guanidine thiocyanate and phenol in a monophase solution that is used for the isolation of DNA, RNA and protein from biological samples of human, animal, plant, yeast, bacteria, and virus
- Trizol in freezer - Molecular Biology - protocol-online. org
I have recently started using Trizol to dissolve my cell pellets, in order to isolate DNA RNA protein later My colleague said it was ok to store dissolved pellet in 1 ml Trizol at -20 However, when I checked my tubes today, most were frozen solid, but a couple of them were still liquid (more than 5 days in freezer) Any idea how this can happen?
- TRI Reagent® (TR 118) - mrcgene. com
TRI Reagent® is used for RNA isolation from tissues, pelleted cells and cells grown in monolayer Fifty milliliters is sufficient to process 50 samples, each containing 50 – 100 mg of tissue Expected yields range from 50 – 700 μg of RNA per sample, depending upon the tissue source For customer or technical assistance call us at See our list of
