This is an Optiplex 7460 All-in-one computer with two HDMI (one has a little symbol by it) and a DisplayPort Trying to use this as an external monitor for a MacBook Pro (via the HDMI connection) but cannot get it to work Mac recognizes that it is plugged into an external display (I think) but the Dell does not change from its own windows computer screen I have tried playing with display

Title says it all Dell fucked up my PC last night (bit of an older model, 17R2) by pushing out an update for supportassist that made my pc freeze up and test the fans (left, then right) like it would in the real fan test Basically, they fucked up something THEY made Guess what was causing it? Dell Data Vault (part of supportassist) and when I deleted supportassist? It magically fixed

I was just tired of Dell and also Microsoft, both forcing you into Modern Standby, which never worked, doesnt work, and will not ever work reliable on Windows, compared to 100% working and reliable S3 (suspend to RAM) sleep

TL;DR:The only fix I have discovered is the following: Reset your network via the Windows options: Network Reset Or CMD PS as admin either of the following: a) netsh winsock reset b) netsh winsock reset catalog Any of the 3 above require a reboot Full: This is a near constant problem for us with the Dell WD19S and any ThunderBolt dock from Dell (and HP) for the the last +5 years I'm dealing

Hello, my dell latitude is blinking 3 amber 5 white I did a quick google search and nothing popped up for my model (latitude 7289 i5) There is no battery so im guessing thats the issue but most laptops should boot with out em (plugged in ofc) It'll power on but no post the power led just turns on for 30 seconds then powers off Ram works fine (its pulled from a separate laptop) Ssd works fine
