Obviously several changes to the DPF on the 2025 with it being physically closer to the exhaust manifold and 7th injector so I wouldn’t be surprised if the programming has changed The regen strategy was very different on the pre-DEF trucks

DPF filters do require maintenance and manual cleaning at some high mileage interval There is a spray you can buy that you open up a small access port in the exhaust and spray it towards the DPF filter

The way regenerations work is that the truck elevates the DPF temperature until it reaches the soot destruction temperature and then holds that for a specific duration--usually until the temperature on the bed outlet reaches the inlet temperature, and then it will begins the cooling cycle
