- Can I no longer purchase Powerdirector without a subscription? - CyberLink
I've used Powerdirector for years but I've moved to a new laptop (also Windows 10 to Window 11) and can't get it to run OK, I'll just purchase the latest version However, I see no option other than to pay around $60 per year I'm not interested in ultimately paying hundreds of dollars for Powerdirector Is there no longer an option to purchase a non-subscription version?

Hallo zusammen, nachdem ich mir Anfang 2012 Power DVD 11 gekauft und auf meinem Laptop installiert habe, möchte ich nun diese Version auf meinem neuen HTPC nutzen Dies ist mir bis heute nicht gelungen Es ist mir unverständlich, dass es hierzu keine Anleitung gibt -ich habe sie zumindest nicht gefunden-! Go to the installation folder, right click on the program (for me it was "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD20\PDVDLP exe"), click on properties, click on the compatibility tab and check the "run this program as an administrator" box Click on Apply or accept and you're done I was able to play my bluray discs without any problem afterwards

Within reasonable expectations and careful composition (like Barry suggested), this is a useful tool and confirms Cyberlink's claims are true For those who like to dig further, there are some utilities and plug-ins (for editing software other than PowerDirector) that claim to upsample an image while upscaling
