That sim can only be used with your current plan You would need a new prepaid SIM card which would get a new number in order to get service with a prepaid card

The message back from the computer portal was confused if you used your phone number it is connected with a current installment payment on a new phone Very likely the IMEI may show as not registered and you'll get a denial again
