Daughter is going to spend next few weeks deciding for herself where to go, her choices are Colgate, Emory, UMich, Wake Forest, Bucknell, USC, Richmond I think she is down to UMich, Colgate and Wake Question - I don’t like Greek life I think it’s bad for kids and is exclusionary and cliquey in nature My son is in a frat so I’ve seen this up close My daughter might want to rush

Our D was recruited by Colgate early on in the process Thankfully it wasn’t her top choice, but they flat out told her (after coach offered her a roster spot) that if she needed financial aid, she wouldn’t pass pre-read

I would probably have chosen Colgate over Duke too, but to the point that I wasn’t inclined to apply to Duke in the first place Colgate usually reports accepted instead of enrolled because close to the top half of accepted students all go to Princeton, Dartmouth, Williams instead and enrolled SATs are ~ 40-50 lower than accepted SATs < p>
