I've found that if you feed a good high quality food, and watch the snacks and treats it's almost impossible to have an over weight chow They are very good at regulating their own diets You want to watch that panting though, chows sometimes have problems tolerating heat My own house is never above 70, and in the winter it's about 60, inside
